Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Lumen ("Lumen", "we", "us"), the operator of the Lumen personal dashboard service. By creating an account or continuing to use Lumen, you agree to these Terms. If you use Lumen on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it; otherwise you confirm you are of legal age to enter this agreement.

Lumen is a personal dashboard that brings your calendar, habits, notes, and optional AI assistance together in one calm place.

• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
• We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Lumen within the plan you selected, for personal use.

You must not misuse Lumen. This includes, at minimum:

• Using the service for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or to send spam.
• Infringing anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights.
• Interfering with the service's security — introducing malware, probing or scanning systems, or scraping the service.
• Reverse engineering, reselling, redistributing, or circumventing technical limits of the service.
• For AI features: generating illegal content, deepfakes, hate speech, or attempting to bypass safety measures. You are responsible for your prompts, your inputs (you must have rights to them), how you use outputs, and for verifying output accuracy.

Lumen and its underlying software, design, documentation, and branding are owned by Lumen and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you.

You retain ownership of the content you add to your dashboard. You grant us a limited license to host and process that content solely to provide the service to you. AI features may produce inaccurate output; they are not a substitute for professional advice. We may remove or restrict content, refuse outputs, or suspend accounts where content violates these Terms or others' rights, and rights holders may contact us at support@lumenz.fyi with takedown complaints.

Some features require a paid Pro membership. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, taxes, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your membership from Settings, and our Refund Policy explains how refunds work.

We work hard to keep Lumen reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lumen is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages (including loss of profits, data, or goodwill), and our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law does not allow it. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay, pose a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate these Terms.

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. When your account ends, your personal data is deleted or anonymised as described in our Privacy Notice.

• These Terms are governed by the laws of the seller's jurisdiction, and disputes will be resolved in its courts unless applicable law gives you other rights.
• You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or acquisition.
• We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
• We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect, and the date above reflects the current version.
